We’ve acquired something special with this Bi Luo Chun. These leaves were picked on February 20th 2019 in Dongting, Jiangsu. Completely hand, the leaves have a slight hair on them and are green and cream in color.
On the nose the dry leaves have a light sweet aroma.
On the nose warm leaf smells of buttered scallops.
Infusion 1 the tea liquor is slightly cloudy but not in a bad way. Still vibrant and very lightly golden. The flavor is amazing! The notes are light and you get unsalted butter but not overly creamy, cooked greens and a very very light bitter back note.
Infusion 2 the leaves have held their form but are now a bright green like a light lime color the tea liquor is still slightly cloudy and there’s more of a grassy note but a sweet grass not a cut grass flavor. Just the right amount of bitterness. An excellent cup of tea.
This tea can be infused 4-5 times using the traditional gongfu method and 2 times if you’re using western methods.
Our teas are always carefully selected, always organic and never contain additives of any types of flavorings.
